  • The name of a school and the enquirer’s role

  • Lesson availability and musical interests

  • Information needed to arrange and manage lessons

  • Attendance, lesson notes, invoices and payment records

  • Basic technical information collected when you use the website

  • Cookie and analytics information, where applicable

If lessons are for someone under 18, their parent, guardian, or school may provide information. Please do not send medical, safeguarding or other sensitive information through the website contact form.

  • Email and cloud-storage providers (Google)

  • My Music Staff

  • Payment, banking and accounting providers

  • Zoom, where online lessons are arranged

  • Schools involved in arranging or administering tuition

  • Professional advisers or authorities where required by law

I do not sell personal information.

Information processed outside the UK

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, I will use providers that put appropriate data-protection safeguards in place.

How long I keep information

I keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, tax or safeguarding requirements.

Enquiries that do not lead to lessons will normally be deleted after 12 MONTHS. Teaching, payment and administrative records may be kept for longer where there is a legal or legitimate reason to do so.

Information about children

This website’s contact form is intended to be completed by adults. Where tuition is for someone under 18, their parent, guardian or school should make the initial enquiry.

I only collect information about younger learners that is reasonably needed to arrange, deliver and manage their tuition.
